I didn't finish. I am very picky about my characters and criteria. This review is for those like me, maybe save you a few $$. I am one of those that likes the old HP formula. I like my heroines virginal and under 26--she's 28. To each her own, but I read romances to experience the passion and romance vicariously, and to feel young again. While 28 is by no means old, it isn't what I consider young either. I'm 2x+ that, so maybe I retain the old mindset of any unmarried woman over 25 is an old maid, which I kinda do. But being an old maid beats being married and miserable, so I'm not knocking it. I just want to read what I like.Product details

The Millionaire Pregnant Wife Harlequin comics eBook Sandra Field Kaoru Shinozaki Reviews
Luke Griffin and Kelsey North are normal harlequin romance hero and heroine characters. I like the book, although it moved very fast into Kelsey going away with Luke on holiday to have a fling with him. It seems to me that the characters were in bed too fast.
Kelsey North was hired by Luke Griffin to organize the family home he inherited from his grandmother. He needed Kelsey to go through his grandmother's papers and find a certain document for him. I was a little confused, because the story was not clear on what he wanted her to find. And then once he became interested in Kelsey, he was no longer concerned about finding the documents or organizing the house. It seems like the author included that particular part about hiring Kelsey to organize the home, just to give a reason to have Luke and Kelsey meet up. The organization job that Kelsey was hired to do, was immediately dropped and they both were off on a holiday fling to his resort in the Bahamas.
I did like Kelsey's character and although Luke was charming she did not allow him to make decisions for her. There is a point in the story where she had to make a decision concerning her brothers, whom she raised, and it went against what Luke wanted. Kelsey demonstrated strong moral character when she stuck to her values. She did not let Luke bully her or use emotional blackmail to change her decision to be there for her family. And although Kelsey was a virgin, Sandra Field, the author gave her a stronger character than the usual virginal romance heroine.
I liked the heroine, more than the hero. Luke Griffin was not un-likeable, just a little full of himself. It took Kelsey's moral character to help him realize that not everyone can be bought.
I liked the book, but it was a typical Harlequin Romance novel. I gave the book 3 out of 5 stars.
